My name is Emilio. My dad died 2 1/2 years ago. I think about him almost every day. Sometimes I cry.
My mom taught the basics of sewing, knitting and crochet when I was a little girl growing up in Germany, but I was mediocre at best. I excelled at scarves and other square/rectangle shaped things. Unfortunately there is not a huge market for blah potholders.
I first saw amigurumi online and thought it looked like something I could do. I taught myself by watching youtube videos and experimenting with different patterns until I got the hang of it. I started making amigurumi monsters in October 2009 after discovering cute amis weren't my thing.
